BuffaLUG Dives into the Fun: LEGO Collectible Minifigure Series 25 Review.

The new series of Collectible Minifigures has been released to what seems like positive reviews. Everyone has their favorites, and depending on what you're looking for personally, there are a handful of options. While there might be a couple that may not resonate with everyone, I prefer focusing on the ones that stand out to me. But if I had to pick my top 3, I'd look at a few options. I'm usually looking for new accessory molds; that's what catches my eye first. I have collected all of the series, and I tend to enjoy the more "mundane" city-type characters. I do love a good "character" fig too, but when those are a miss, they REALLY miss. My top 3, in no particular order, would be:

Goat Herd

Honestly, it's not because of the Goat! His face print is wonderful with a mustache and a 5 o'clock shadow, the hood looks great in brown, and it fits right into Castle and (my fave) Forestmen.

Noir Detective

Noir Detective: This guy is so simple; it's actually wonderful. The black and white (ok grey) look for this character is something fresh and new. The red fish gets a chuckle and gets scenes for habitat building running through my brain. And his hat looks amazing, and apparently, as I'm typing, I guess I'm partial to mustached figs.

Mushroom Sprite

The third one is tough; I wanted to not pick Mushroom girl solely as she seems to be a favorite across AFOLs, but the new butterfly print is too great to ignore. Her hat also has multiple uses.

Just missing the cut is the Dog Groomer, and the Train Kid. Lastly, the new boxes have stolen a lot of my fun/passion for collecting these. Splitting a box just isn't the same. However, if the figs are this good (only 2 that I personally find less appealing imho), it's keeping my collection going.

Below is an overall ranking of the series by our members. I'm interested to know – who are your favorites, and are there any figures that didn't quite meet your expectations? Share your thoughts as we celebrate the diverse characters that make LEGO collecting a unique and enjoyable experience!
