MOC Spotlight: “Wizard’s Cottage” by Connor McGrath
Our community has grown a lot over the past year & a half, and we have seen a lot of builders coming out of their shells. Connor has expressed interest in building more MOCs since he joined the group. Back in March he built his Wizard’s Cottage for our monthly meeting. Everyone was awestruck with the elaborate build.
“A wizard's home and workshop, built above a series of ocean caverns and waterfalls. Fully modular to access the interior, with multiple fully furnished floors and basements to explore. Built from March 29- April 6, 2022 for the April meeting “ - Connor
The MOC is built on a 48x48 baseplate. The cottage sits atop an underground cavern littered with easter eggs & hidden passages.
When we had our next opportunity to display we reached out to Connor to ask if he would let us display it at Comicon Erie. And he happily obliged. Connor’s MOC was one of the highlights of our group display. And he even came to the Con to show off his creation in person. And was delighted when LEGO Masters Corey Samuels & Tim Croll stopped by to give him some tips on the build.
